Since 2001 AFS has provided a range of professional franchise consultancy services to existing and potential franchisors, franchisees and suppliers to the industry. With a proven track record, we have created a full service consultancy to meet all of your franchising needs.

With founding experience dating back from 1965, we have worked with major franchise brands such as Pizza Hut and Chicken Treat, and are the masterminds behind the highly successful national franchises Car Care, Housework Heroes and Cappuccino Xpress. Over that time we have seen the expansion of the franchise industry in Australia grow to the $131 billon sector that it is today.

Director's Profile

Dean Franks

Dean Franks has been a passionate advocate and participant in the Australian franchise sector for over 20 years. A second generation franchisor, Dean has headed up three national and international franchise brands, all of which were established in Western Australia.

Dean is an Accredited Franchise Executive and holds a Bachelor of Business (Management), a Diploma in Franchising and the Franchise Management Qualification. Dean is also an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Member of the Institute of Company Directors.

Dean is a current committee member of the WA Chapter of the Franchise Council of Australia and is committed to assisting with the development of the Australian franchising sector for the benefit of all participants. This includes political lobbying and representation on behalf of the FCA. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Bendigo Bank North Perth; one of WA's highest performing Community Bank franchisees.

In 2011 Dean received the prestigious Paddy Thompson Award in recognition of his contribution to the WA franchising sector.
